Harrison was my first furniture design project at Appalachian State University during the 2021 Fall semester of my Sophomore year. As a part of the required Materials and Processes class, each student had to design a table using alder to gain better experience and exposure to the woodshop. As an avid guitarist, I aimed to design something personal to me while offering solutions to a niche problem. Harrison doubles as a guitar stand with an added pick drawer, allowing for the display or storage of a guitarist’s instrument in an everyday space.
